Outreach and Service Ministry Team

This Ministry Team shall be responsible for local and world mission and outreach. It shall serve as liaison between the church and community agencies and national church projects.

Some of the responsibilities of this group are:

• Friendship tutoring program
• Chili Café and other outreach events
• Interfaith Mission
• OCWM
• United Campus Ministry
• Special offerings
• Involvement in wider church missions, (i.e.: PCC partnerships, church world service projects, OGHS, NIN and other UCC church-wide offerings, peace and justice issues
• College student outreach programs
• Communicating and marketing programs
• Recommend annual budget needs and monitor approved budget

This Ministry Team should meet often and regularly throughout the year. It probably should delegate some of the activities to individuals or sub-groups and monitor their progress. At the beginning of the year the team should develop a plan of activities with calendar dates and make it available to Consistory. Consistory will also refer items to the team that it would like to have addressed.

An annual report is expected in April of each and periodic reports should be made throughout the year to Consistory.
