Trustees and Stewardship Ministry Team

This Ministry Team has responsibility for the physical plant (including grounds and equipment), budget, memorials, stewardship, investments, records and archives, and personnel.

Some of the activities expected of this group are:

• Conducts annual stewardship program
• Oversees joint-budget process in cooperation with other ministry teams
• Monitors memorials and sends acknowledgements for memorial contributions
• Responsible for repairs and improvements to the physical plant
• Oversee the records and archives of the church
• Oversee the audits of church accounts
• Planned giving
• Monitor equipment (including computers) and make necessary replacements or repairs
• Periodic and annual reports on the financial status of the church
• Oversee budget for physical plant

This Ministry Team should meet often and regularly throughout the year. It probably should delegate some of the activities to individuals or sub-groups and monitor their progress. At the beginning of the year the team should develop a plan of activities with calendar dates and make it available to Consistory. Consistory will also refer items to the team that it would like to have addressed.

The team should work closely with the Church Treasurer and Financial Secretary and monitor their reports.

An annual report is expected in April of each and periodic reports should be made throughout the year to Consistory.
