Welcome Penn State Students |
We are delighted to welcome back those of you who were part of our fellowship last year and delighted to welcome those of you who are new to campus or to Faith Church.
When you worship with us, please sign the Friendship pads, giving us both your email and postal address We would like to send you our monthly newsletter and be able to notify you about special student events. Students themselves lead Faith's student ministry, with our congregation and church staff supporting and enabling that leadership. Students are encouraged to sing in our choir, help teach or attend adult Sunday School classes, read scripture during worship, participate in our Friendship Tutoring Program on Sunday afternoons, and help plan and lead worship at least once during the year.
We invite you to worship regularly with us and stay for the fellowship time following the service so we can get to know you. Casual dress is fine. If any of us can be helpful in any way, speak to our pastor or contact the church office at 237-3904 or by email at faithucc@comcast.net.
Koinonia Kaffe is held at Faith UCC Friday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Romig Hall, sponsored by United Campus Ministry. For more info, contact Rev. Bruce Martin at bdm12@psu.edu. Come enjoy good fellowship and fun! For college students!
Faith Church is part of the United Church of Christ, founded in 1957 with the uniting of the Evangelical and Reformed, and the Congregational Christian churches. The UCC motto "that they may all be one" is Jesus' prayer for the unity of the church. We are a self-governing, diverse church with a strong emphasis on scripture as it speaks to the needs of today's society. We firmly believe that God's love affirms and embraces everyone.
Faith was founded in 1909 and has always understood ministry to Penn State students to be part of its mission. We encourage you to participate in church life in any way you desire and be confident you will be welcome and accepted.
